QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL is a non for profit, established as a creatives industry incubator supporting the growth of the fashion community and economy in Queensland, with the help of valued volunteers, interns and trainees working within the terms of this Agreement.
By signing the following agreement you agree :
1. to give your voluntary services to QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL for the purposes of event assistance without pay to the best of your abilities, and to comply with all of the directions of QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL including, but not limited to, those responsibilities detailed in your position description from time to time;
2. to attend in person or via video link, all pre-arranged and agreed upon, team meetings, report punctually to pre-event trainings and briefs, work on a voluntary basis up to 10 hours per week;
3. that you know of no reason why you are, or may be, unable to, or prevented from providing the voluntary services that may be allocated to you by QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL.
4. to wear the official volunteer uniform provided, any time you are actively and in public working for QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL and to keep such attire in a clean and presentable state at all times;
5. to keep confidential all information and not share any conversations, information, materials, or documents concerning QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL with outside parties.
6. to notify QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL of any ideas or materials you may create relating to your provision of voluntary services and, by signing this document, you transfer to QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL all rights and interests to the IP in such creations.
7. to consent to the use by QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL of such creations in a manner reasonably contemplated by the voluntary services provided under this document, and will not bring any claim for infringement of your moral rights in respect of that use;
8. To safeguard your own personal property located at the venue or location of any QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL activities, and to understand that we are not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal property;
9. that you will not do anything to compromise your safety or the safety of others and you understand that there may be risks associated with providing particular voluntary services;
10. that you will not do anything while providing the voluntary services, or wearing the official volunteer’s uniform supplied by QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL, that may bring QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL or other volunteers into disrepute;
11. that you have no rights to, and must not use in any manner for any purpose, the QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL logo, or any trademark, name, corporate style or logo used by QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL without prior permission from QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL.
12. to participate in all identity verification checks, background security checks and other security checks prior to your entry to QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL activities and prior to you providing any voluntary services;
13. that in conducting background security checks, the QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL may request the Queensland Police Service to identify whether you have:
(a) any adult Commonwealth, State, Territory or foreign convictions less than 10 years old;
(b) any adult Commonwealth, Territory or foreign convictions over 10 years old where the sentence imposed was imprisonment longer than 2 years, or any adult State convictions over 10 years old where the sentence imposed was imprisonment longer than 6 months;
(c) any juvenile Commonwealth, Territory or foreign convictions less than 5 years old, or any juvenile State convictions less than 3 years old; and/or
(d) any juvenile Commonwealth, Territory or foreign convictions over 5 years old where the sentence imposed was imprisonment longer than 2 years or juvenile State convictions over 3 years old where the sentence imposed was imprisonment longer than 6 months;
14. not to bring any claims against:
(a) QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL (including directors, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers or agents) for any damage, injury, loss or liability to persons or property caused by your willful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions while providing the voluntary services;
(b) the Queensland Police Service or other agencies in relation to their release of information referred to in paragraph 13;
15. to your provision of voluntary services being photographed or recorded for use in our promotional or educational programs (in which you have no rights including to a copy thereof), and that you have no right to pre-approval of, and no entitlement to payment for any such use;
16. to present for the administration of first aid and/or medical treatment if you are injured or feeling unwell while giving voluntary services; and
17. that QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL may terminate your appointment as a volunteer and cancel your accreditation if you do not comply with these provisions or engage in misconduct which, in the opinion of QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL, adversely affects its interests or those of QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Queensland.
The volunteer has read and agrees to the terms of this document. The information given to the QUEENSLAND ARTS AND FASHION FESTIVAL in the Volunteer Agreement Form has been given by the volunteer personally and is correct to the best of the volunteer’s knowledge and belief.
